American Chamber of Commerce of Belize
The Annual General Meeting which took place at the Hour Bar in Belize City was well attended and deemed by all to have been a success.
Many thanks to Ambassador Moreno for saying some choice words to Chamber members and inviting our Organization to reach out to the Embassy for assistance. The Ambassador explained that help is available to American businesses operating in Belize and that AmCham is well positioned to be a tremendous asset to its members. The Ambassador acknowledged that the AmCham, with the experience and knowledge of its member base, is essential to help new companies navigate the special business environment that is Belize.
Ambassador Moreno stated that "it never hurts to ask" and that "you might be surprised with the assistance that we (the Embassy) might be able to offer." The words of encouragement put forward by Ambassador Moreno invigorated the attendees and more people stood to be elected as Directors than ever before in the history of AmCham-Belize.
Fifteen new Directors were elected by Chamber members and the first meeting to determine the Officers will be held on January 4, 2016 in Belize City. All parties interested in the Chamber are invited, we need great ideas to succeed in 2016!
